Job Title: Area Manager

Location: Regionally based across North and East London 

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 dependent on experience (plus a car allowance)

About the Role

We are looking for an Area Manager to positively promote and grow a group of fostering agencies within their region. You and your teams will increase awareness and utilisation of the National Fostering Group whilst keeping safeguarding and outcomes for children and young people at the heart of everything you do. 

The Area Manager will work collaboratively with the Regional Director, Registered Managers and Finance to set the goals and targets for agency growth, performance, and profitability. Collectively, you will develop and contribute to NFG’s 12 month and 3-year business plan whilst keeping in mind our vision, mission, and values and delivering agency and sector excellence.

About You

The successful applicant will have experience of working across regulated children services or similar in a senior, strategic management role.  They will have demonstrable evidence of strong finance skills, and experience of managing and delivering to large, multi-factorial budgets. Proven leadership skills across a large multidisciplinary team and experience of managing a range of professionals is essential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a car.
  • Educated to master’s level, and/or has equivalent strategic and management skills demonstrated through operating as a senior manager.
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Experience of leading and managing large teams
  • Proven budgetary and finance skills
  • Experience in delivering a balanced set of KPI’s and metrics through large teams of professional people in a regulated environment.
  • Results driven professional management experience.
  • Proven negotiation skills ideally within the public sector and sales experience
