Practice/Team Manager

As part of our management within the fostering agency, they are key to providing support and guidance to our social workers and foster carers, helping to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young people in our care.
What are the key responsibilities of a Practice/Team Manager in Fostering?
As a Practice/Team Manager, you will:
- Lead and Manage a Team of Social Workers: You will oversee a team of Supervising Social Workers, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to provide excellent care to children and foster families. Your role includes providing supervision and fostering professional development within your team.
- Ensure Compliance and Best Practice: You will ensure that your team adheres to regulatory standards and the policies of the National Fostering Group. As a Practice/Team Manager, you’ll promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality practice within your team.
- Collaborate with External Partners: You will work closely with external professionals, including local authorities, healthcare providers and education services, to ensure that the needs of the children in our care are met in a holistic way.
- Advocate for Children and Families: You will be a strong advocate for the children in our care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. You will help ensure they are supported emotionally, socially and academically, and that their well-being is always a top priority.
- Safeguard Children: As a Practice/Team Manager, you will ensure that safeguarding practices are followed and that all children are protected. You will ensure that all colleagues in your team are trained and up-to-date with safeguarding procedures, maintaining a culture of safety and security.
