We also offer a 4 day working week - this means 80% of the hours for 100% pay! This will be given following a successful 6 month probationary period and is a performance based benefit.
About the Role
We are looking for a Carer Recruitment Officer to help grow our family of foster carers. You will source and encourage enquiries through local engagement, undertake initial visits in the homes of our applicants and accurately record applicant information on our database.
The focus of the role is to raise awareness of fostering across local communities to help generate and nurture enquiries, keeping our database up to date. The role requires excellent time management, coordination and strong IT skills.
You will be comfortable engaging with the public and existing foster carers, attending events to raise awareness of fostering and help exceed the local recruitment target. You will be creating opportunities to engage with existing foster carers to promote ‘word of mouth/carer referral’ recommendations. You will also collate evidence of local recruitment activity and carer referral activity analysing your success in this and the subsequent outcomes to inform future strategy.
You will maintain contact with potential foster carers through the journey from enquiry to approval, sensitively gathering information from prospective foster carers at the early stages and providing information about the fostering task. You will then maintain regular contact and support the initial training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues, managing the database of potential carers, and keeping colleagues and management updated with relevant information and weekly reporting. You will also be supporting other agencies in the area when deemed necessary.
Who are we looking for?
Evidence in providing great customer experience/service or having worked in recruitment would be an advantage however more important are strong communication skills, and a friendly and flexible approach which will be beneficial in enabling you to build rapport with members of the public, current and potential foster carers.
You must be proficient in basic excel database management and diary management, as well as demonstrating excellent spoken and written communication. Experience in marketing or working with databases would also support your application.
