Job Title: Clinical Lead – South & Midlands
Location: Regionally based across the South of England and the Midlands
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract: Permanent

With over 20 years experience, National Fostering Group is the largest independent children's fostering group in the UK with a community of over 3,000 foster carers. We support just over 4,000 cared for children through 31 agencies across the UK.

A bit more about the opportunity:
The Clinical Lead will oversee the implementation and delivery of the group’s clinical offer and coordinate the clinical team across the South & Midlands. This role requires working collaboratively to promote the well-being and best interests of children, young people, foster families and staff while supporting the effectiveness of the service in achieving its objectives.
The Clinical Lead will ensure high-quality service provision aligned with best practice guidelines, internal policies and procedures. Additionally, they will deliver the group’s clinical offer to a reduced number of agencies, undertake clinical duties and manage allocated agency clinicians across the South & Midlands, ensuring adherence to professional and regulatory guidelines, as well as the group’s clinical audit and tracking tools.
Operational responsibilities include managing allocated agency clinicians, serving as the primary liaison between the group’s operational function and the Head of Clinical Services, conducting individual assessments, delivering interventions, providing guidance, and preparing relevant documents and reports.

Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated clinical professional with extensive experience working with children in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service improvement, change management, workforce planning and clinical strategy development.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to supervise staff and engage effectively with children, families and stakeholders.
A deep understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks, combined with strong clinical expertise is required. We value resilience, adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred care. Essential Criteria:
- Registered with BACP or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical strategies
- Experience of working in multi professional work teams or services within designated speciality
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high standards of care
- Strong, clear and concise report writing skills
