Job Title: Panel Administrator
Location: Regionally/ Office based from our Warrington office
Salary: £23,400 pro rata (3 days)
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term (initially 9 months maternity cover however, could be extended to 12 months)

About the role
The successful candidate will be required to provide a high quality administrative and minute taking service, planning, organising and attending Fostering Panels. This will involve producing accurate and appropriate minutes and adding them to carer records on Charms. The Panel Administrator will also be required to manage DBS applications and ensure Carer Medicals and other statutory checks are completed in line with legal requirements, therefore, they will need to have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to respond to telephone calls in a professional manner. They will also act as a support to Social Workers as and when required.
The nature of our business means that tasks and responsibilities are sometimes unpredictable and therefore, staff are expected to work flexibly when the occasion arises and tasks which are not specifically covered in the job description will have to be undertaken.
The Panel Administrator will be joining a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care.
Who we are looking for
You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.
Essential Criteria
- Experience within an administrative role
- Strong IT skills
- Minute taking
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills, both spoken and written
- Willingness to learn and happy to undertake professional training where necessary
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks & deadlines
- An awareness of how key social media platforms work and operate within a business setting (desirable)
