About the Role

The Director of Carer Acquisition and Engagement will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to set and communicate the national strategy for carer recruitment and retention. Your primary responsibility will be to work with our fostering agencies and Carer Recruitment Officers to meet annual recruitment targets, overseeing the entire process from enquiry to approval. This includes managing the conversion pipeline for all national and local carer enquiries.

You will lead our call centre and field sales teams, ensuring a customer-first culture. Developing and implementing a comprehensive Foster Carer communication programme will be key, as will collaborating with the wider NFG team to manage the retention of our existing foster carer base. Regular communication with Regional Directors about recruitment opportunities and challenges will be essential.

Additionally, you will provide performance data to the Executive team, Regional Directors and Carer Recruitment Team. Setting and maintaining referral incentives will also fall under your remit as well as ensuring that all relevant staff are up-to-date with processes and training.

The Director of Carer Acquisition and Engagement will be a dynamic and results-driven individual with a practical, outcomes-focused approach. You will have a track record of driving performance through data insight and translating this into actionable business plans.  

You will have the ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships, as well as influencing effectively at all levels. You will lead a fast-paced, changing environment and be adept at juggling multiple priorities. It is important you possess high emotional intelligence, resilience and tenacity giving you the ability to deliver results consistently.

Creativity and expertise for finding new ways to deliver results will serve you well in this role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, as are exceptional organizational and time management skills.
