Job Title: People Assistant
Location: Hybrid working from Bolton Head Office, 2 days a week in the office
Contract Type: Maternity Cover for 6 months starting from September 2024
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Closing date: 2nd Sept 2024

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the National Fostering Group as a People Assistant. Our Head Office is based in Bolton and you will be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week.

About the Role
The People Assistant will act as the first point of contact for all end-to-end employee lifecycle queries. You will provide an efficient and comprehensive service for employee related enquiries ensuring that records and HR systems are accurately maintained. It is important you ensure policy and regulatory requirements are adhered to for all administration activity.
This is a varied role that covers all aspects of the People team including Human Resources, Recruitment and Compliance. Every day will be different and give you the opportunity to become an expert across all areas with the support of our managers.
As part of your role, you will complete pre employment checks on all new starters to ensure we recruit and retain the best employees. This means NFG can continue to offer fantastic care for their children and young people.
Who we are looking for
The successful applicant will have experience in a customer focused role offering a proactive, competent clerical and administrative service. It is essential that you have previous HR administration experience and are confident communicating with a range of stakeholders via phone, email and Microsoft Teams.
You must be competent at producing and maintaining reports, as well as keeping our system up to date and accurate. You will be dealing with sensitive information so it is important you are professional and polite at all times and handle issues with diplomacy.
