We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team at Fostering Solutions – Midlands. This role is based at the Stafford, West Midlands Office.

About the Group

We are part of the National Fostering Group – the UK’s largest independent fostering family.

Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. Almost all of our 33 regional fostering agencies are officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service to our fostering team and ensure our agency runs effectively and efficiently. You will provide a high-quality service to all internal and external stakeholders, including meeting and greeting and answering all incoming calls.

Being our first point of contact for our staff and carers, you will be dealing with incoming queries effectively and managing information confidentially. You will be in your comfort zone supporting the team and the managers with tasks including minuting, projects and research when required.

Our team at Fostering Solutions are extremely supportive and caring. Every day we put a relentless focus on the outcomes of the children and young people in our care and you will be a part of that!

Who we are looking for

You will have Admin experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports.  It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. You must be organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks and deadlines. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative. It will be useful to have experience of dealing with Panel administration which would include minute taking.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.

But what else is in it for you? Your health and wellbeing are important to us, so you’ll get an exceptional reward package including:

  • Up to 39 days annual leave each year (25 base entitlement + 1 One moment in time + 8 bank holidays + ability to buy up to 5 extra days) pro rata
  • Life Assurance
  • Pension scheme with options to increase your contributions
  • “Your Wellbeing Matters” – access to a wide range of first-class mental health support services and physical health checks

And a market-leading benefit offering through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, enables you to choose the package that’s right for you, including:

  • A wide range of health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
  • 100’s of discount options valid in the UK and abroad
  • Cycle to Work Schemes
  • Electric Car Purchase Scheme
  • Critical illness cover

And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer
