What are the key responsibilities in Carer Recruitment?
- Recruit and Engage Foster Carers: You will be responsible for attracting and recruiting potential foster carers, ensuring they meet the high standards required by National Fostering Group. Through targeted marketing, community outreach and engagement activities, you’ll build a pipeline of dedicated individuals interested in becoming foster carers.
- Guide Applicants Through the Recruitment Process: Once you’ve identified potential foster carers, you’ll provide ongoing support throughout the recruitment journey. This includes delivering information sessions, conducting initial assessments and preparing candidates for the next steps. Your role ensures that every applicant feels informed and supported as they progress towards approval.
- Build Relationships with the Community: Engaging with the local community is a key aspect of this role. You’ll establish partnerships with local organisations, attend events and use creative recruitment strategies to raise awareness about fostering opportunities. Building a strong local presence will help promote fostering and create lasting connections with potential carers.
- Provide Support and Guidance: From the initial enquiry to becoming an approved foster carer, you’ll guide and assist candidates. Offering clear communication, practical information and emotional support, you’ll help potential foster carers feel confident and prepared to begin their fostering journey.
- Promote Diversity and Inclusion: You’ll actively promote diversity in foster carer recruitment, ensuring that all applicants feel welcome and supported. By fostering an inclusive environment, you’ll help ensure a wide range of fostering homes are available to meet the diverse needs of children in care.
